Firstly, it is the driver responsibility to ensure that he/she at all times holds and carries a valid driving license before driving the vehicle. For U.A.E Resident - U.A.E driving license (should be one year old) For visitors - International with national license (should be one year old)

The minimum age requirement in the UAE for rental customers is normally 25 years of age.

Any additional drivers must be declared and they should comply with the age and driving license requirements. Additional drivers will be charged AED 100. Please check the Terms and Conditions for more details.

Yes. You can pay for your car rental with your credit card. However, as all credit cards may not represented in the UAE, be sure to check with BCR at the time of reservation to confirm that your credit card is accepted at the place of rental.

A) Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
The Collision Damage Waiver, or CDW, is optional collision coverage available to customers for an extra fee. The CDW transfers some risks from the car renter to the rental company, reducing responsibility for loss or any damages to the vehicle. It also reduces insurance excess, regardless of fault, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the Rental Agreement.

B) Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
The Personal Accident Insurance, or PAI, offers Accidental Death, Permanent Total Disability, and Permanent Partial Disability caused by bodily injury to BCR renters and their passengers as per the seating capacity of the rented vehicle

  • The Traffic system in UAE is designed for Right Hand Drive Vehicles.
  • The speed limit on highways varies between 100 to 120 kmph. Interior roads carry speed limits of 40, 60 80 kmph.
  • All highways some interior roads are controlled by speed radars
  • Jumping of traffic signal driving on hard shoulder are considered major traffic offences, and attract heavy fines (including imprisonment impounding of vehicle).
  • It is compulsory for all front occupants in a vehicle to wear safety belt.
  • Children below the age of 12 years are not allowed to occupy the front seats.
  • Use of mobile (without hands-free) while driving is a offence liable for being fined.
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
  • Round-abouts are prevalent across the UAE. While negotiating the round-about, give way to traffic approaching from the left.
  • Most public parking especially in Dubai Sharjah are designated paid parkings.
  • In case of an accident it is mandatory to call the police and obtain a Police Report.

In the unforeseen circumstances of your vehicle being involved in an accident please note that the vehicle should not be moved from the point of the accident or damage, except in the case where the damage is minor and the vehicle is causing an obstruction to the traffic. You will then call the police (999) and remain with the vehicle in order to obtain a police report. Once you received the police report inform the same to BCR. Important note:It is the hirers responsibility to provide a complete police report. Failure to obtain a police report means that no claim can be made against the insurance policy; therefore the client is liable to pay for the full cost of repair even if CDW cover has been taken.

BCR starts counting a rental day at the time of rental pickup. The minimum rental period is 24 hours. Thereafter, there will be a grace period of 2 hour for the return of the vehicle. The rental charges applicable for exceeding the grace period will be charged on the basis of a full day rental. The rates are subject to change without prior notice.

To pay for excessive usage beyond 300 kms/day on daily rental, 215 kms/day on weekly rental , 4500 kms/month on monthly/lease rental for passenger cars 5000 kms/month on monthly/lease rental for commercial vehicles, at 0.30 Fils to AED 1.00 per km (depending on the type of vehicles)

Renters are not permitted to take the vehicle outside UAE. It is possible to take the vehicle to Oman, provided prior approval is granted by BCR. Please contact our rental counters for procedure and charges.
